Child Protection Performance Indicator Project

The Health Commission award star ratings to health trusts in England. Performance is judged by analysing complex data, resulting in a ‘balanced scorecard’ of trust specific performance indicators. A new performance indicator on child protection arrangements was incorporated into this ratings process and the commission had to conduct a data collection exercise to obtain the information pertaining to child protection in each trust. The Health Commission asked Connect to develop the software required to enable them to collect this data online.

Connect created a web-based tool to allow co-ordinators from each trust to enter their own data via an online form.

The system automatically sent a confirmation email regarding data submitted to the nominated co- ordinator at the trust and the Healthcare Commission was able to access the collated results.
